Have you ever had a cramp, toothache, or just something that is hurting you? Well there is a way to get rid of a pain just by thinking about it!
Focus on something else
You first have to try to just ignore the pain. It may be difficult, but if you set your mind on something else the pain will start to fade.
If step one doesn't work
Focus on your mind . This does sound confusing, but you need to clear your mind of distracting thoughts of anything, even the pain. This will be one of your first steps.
Imagine the pain fading
Just think about the pain going away. Don't feel the pain, destroy it. Keep your thoughts centered directly on that.
Keep a clear and steady mind
Your mind may drift somewhat so always focus your attention on the pain going away. You will start to feel the pain fade away.
Think positive thoughts
After you have done this, always think positive. You can never go wrong with thinking positive.
Soldier Technique
If all else fails, try the "Soldier Technique". Picture a bright light coming from your forehead and landing on the spot where it hurts. Pretend that it sooths you.
Tips
- To help you focus you may want to be in a quiet room, or close your eyes. There won't be as much distractions.
- Practice! This might not work the first time around, but if you practice you should be able to get rid of pain almost instantaneously.
- If you have an illness that is making you feel pain this method most likely won't work.
- This method can always be used to help a lot of pain be somewhat numbed.
- Imagination is important to reducing the feeling. If you imagine that the pain is gone, you will feel minimal pain.
Warnings
- Do not believe you can always heal yourself. Even if the pain is gone, you should still get proper medical attention.
